1. Overview: Understanding Instagram Account Types in Socialwidget

When launching Socialwidget for the first time, the app may automatically connect to your Personal Instagram account. However, it’s important to know that:

If you select the Personal Instagram account option, even your Professional Instagram account will appear as Personal within Socialwidget.

If you attempt to connect a Professional Instagram account through the Personal account option, the connection will not work correctly.

To ensure a smooth experience, follow the steps below based on your account type.

2.Add a Personal Instagram Account.

Click the "Account" button on the main dashboard.

Select "Add account" from the available options.

Choose "Personal account" when prompted.

Notes:

Even if your Instagram is technically set up as a Professional account, choosing "Personal account" here will still connect it if you're not linking via Facebook.

This method is quick and ideal for users managing one simple Instagram feed.

3.Add a Professional Instagram Account.

Before You Begin

Ensure your Instagram Professional account is linked to a Facebook Page.
If it’s not yet linked, refer to this guide: Manage Social Accounts

Click the "Account" button.

Select "Add account".

Choose "Instagram with Facebook Page" when prompted.

Notes:

This method is required for users with Business or Creator accounts linked to Facebook Pages.
