How to fix common image errors in Google Merchant Center (Processing failed [image link])

When you create a Google product feed, it is highly likely that you will face some kind of errors or warnings from Google. Don't worry, our team is here to guide you to fix them.

The difference between Errors and Warnings in Google Merchant Center

Errors: Errors indicate critical feed issues. These issues can lead to item disapproval, and prevent you from showing ads for the affected products. In some cases, errors might even result in account suspension.

Warnings: Warnings are far less serious than errors as they do not lead to item disapproval. However, they still negatively impact the performance of your product listing ads. If you leave them untouched for a long time, your products might be disapproved.

A lot of merchants are having this issue and it is because Google encountered an unexpected error while processing your product images. The issue should sort itself out until the next re-crawl.

Nonentheless, you should check your product data and make sure each product has image_link and additional_image_link URLs. After updating the image, you can click on Manual Submit to enable our app to re-submit the images to Google. You will have to wait for the product image to be crawled again, and this process usually takes 1-3 days.

Our app automatically syncs all the newly added images every 8 hours by default (you can set the sync schedule to be shorter. Afterwards, the app will submit the images to Google Merchant Center.
