How to create Instagram Stories Widget

Let's experience our latest significant feature for your widget: INSTAGRAM STORIES WIDGET

With this feature, you can create widgets of Instagram stories and showcase on your Shopify storefront. Let give a try to enhance the performance of your Instagram feed!

Kindly ensure that you are on the Socialwidget Pricing Plan before applying the Instagram Stories Widget.



Create Media source


Choose Media source tab and Add new Source

Choose Instagram Stories




Note: the Instagram stories are only crawled from your Business Instagram account.


Create Gallery


Choose Gallery tab and Add new Gallery

Choose Instagram Stories

Input gallery name > Choose media source > click OK







Note: Stories Highlight could not been crawled from your Instagram account. However, our Stories Group designed to create similar features!
With Stories Group feature, you are able to group your stories in one collection. The more Stories Groups you have, the more distinct and unique collections introduced to your customers.

Choose Add group

Input stories group name

Drag and drop the stories

After dropping the stories in the list, Drag the stories right or left to arrange their order.


Note: The thumbnail of Stories Group will be taken from the first story image showing on the list.


There is a maximum of 10 Stories Groups created.

Create Stories Widget


Choose Widget tab and Add new Widget

Choose Instagram Stories




There is a maximum of 100 Instagram stories updated on your website.

With available editing functions, you can easily customize your stories widget.



Transition time for each story image will be from 3 to 10 seconds.



With this feature, to make your stories be more appealing and eye-catching, there will be only 1 product/ 1 variant tagged on 1 story. The procedure of tagging products/ variants on your Instagram stories will be the same on the Instagram feed.
