How to fix common unique identifiers error in Google Merchant Center (Insufficient product identifiers: missing two out of three attributes)

If you're encountering this error in Google Merchant Center, it means your product listing is missing at least two out of three required unique product identifiers:

GTIN (Global Trade Item Number)

Brand

MPN (Manufacturer Part Number)

To ensure your products are correctly listed and perform well in Google Shopping, you need to provide at least two of these three attributes.

Situation 1: Your Product Has a GTIN

Steps to Fix:

Check your product data – Ensure your product feed contains the correct GTIN.

Add the brand – If your brand is missing, update your product listing with the correct brand name.

Submit the updated feed – Upload your revised product feed to Google Merchant Center and allow time for processing.

Note : If your product has a GTIN, it is best to provide all three identifiers (GTIN, brand, and MPN) for better performance.

Situation 2: Your Product Does Not Have a GTIN

Steps to Fix:

Verify if an MPN is available – If your product doesn’t have a GTIN, check if an MPN is assigned by the manufacturer.

Add the brand – The brand name must be provided along with the MPN.

Update your product feed – Ensure both the brand and MPN are included before submitting it again to Google Merchant Center.

Note: Some custom or handmade products may not have an MPN. In this case, you must correctly configure your feed to indicate that no unique product identifier is available.
