# How to translate languages and convert currency for feed

**Localization** enables businesses to translate language and convert currency for product feeds in Facebook and Google, making international e-commerce more accessible.

To use this feature, you first need to install a **translation application** from the Shopify App Store. The information entered into the translation app will be synchronized with our translation feature. Below is a detailed guide on how to utilize the Localization feature effectively.

# Facebook Feed Localization

### 1. Translate Information

In **Facebook Feed**, navigate to the **Localization** tab and enable the feature. Once activated, you can choose translated information from two different sources:

* **Shopify Markets**

* **Third-party Apps**

Choose your preferred language(s) and click **Generate XML File**. The dropdown list will display only the languages that have been set up in your translation app.

|| Currently, our application supports translation for **product titles** and **descriptions** only.

### 2. Convert Currency

This feature helps you sync your preferred **Country** and **Currency** with the Facebook Catalog. Enable this feature to proceed. Like language translation, users can choose between two currency sources:

* **Shopify Markets**

* **FeedHub Apps**

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/c/b/9/2/cb92164b6e8ef000/image_1anmnja.png)

Select the country and currency from the dropdown and click **Convert**. Currency conversion is done automatically based on the exchange rate. Facebook only accepts two decimal places, so values will be rounded accordingly.

||| Currency is being converted automatically according to the exchange rate, Example 1 VND = 0.000037187897 EUR. Currently, Facebook accepts only 2 numbers after the decimal point. Therefore, let refer to this example to know how we will sync them to Facebook. 74.56123 rounded to 74.57, 74.56984 also rounded to 74.57

### 3. Check Language and Currency Feed

To verify your feed settings, follow these steps:

* Go to **Facebook Catalog** > **Items**
* Click on any product and select **Country** or **Currency** to review the feed settings.

# Google Feed Localization

The **Localization** feature is available in Google Feed, but it only supports language translation (no currency conversion). To enable it:

* Go to the **Localization** tab and enable the feature.
* Choose translated information from either **Shopify Markets** or **Third-party Apps**.

* **Shopify Markets**

|| Once the feed has been generated, you will have the **Feed URL** that contains the product title and description that has been translated. This **URL** is provided to create a supplemental feed.

### 2. Setup Supplemental Source in Google Merchant Center

Since Google Merchant Center does not have an API for automatic synchronization, the translated feed must be manually added as a **Supplemental Feed**. Follow these steps:

#### ${color}[#004cff](Important Considerations)

* If you update the language for specific products, data will update based on the schedule in **Source Management** and **Feed**. You may need to manually update it in **Localization**.
* If your chosen language does not match your website language, Google may issue a warning, potentially leading to product rejection. Consider using English if necessary, but this may impact ad performance.
